About the role
At MSL, we collaborate with leading global brands to design, build, and deliver memorable live events, from exhibitions and trade shows to roadshows and product placements across the UK.
As an
Event Build Crew member, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that builds and installs event staging, sets up structures, and ensures every detail is in place for a seamless event. This role combines practical, hands-on tasks with creative problem-solving.
You'll gain experience across a wide range of events, with a focus on teamwork, flexibility, and delivering results. We value our crew members and will provide the necessary training and support to help you succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist with the unloading, assembly, and installation of event structures, staging, and equipment to ensure seamless event execution. This includes packing down and safely transporting all items once the event concludes.
- Site Safety and Compliance: Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with health and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment for the crew and other event personnel.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of the build crew, collaborating with colleagues and event managers to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality results.
- Client Interaction and Brand Representation: Represent the company on-site by maintaining a professional appearance and attitude, ensuring client expectations are met and addressing any on-site issues promptly.
About you
- Previous events experience is desirable, but not required.
- Physically Fit and Ready to Work: Able to handle physical tasks, including lifting, unloading, and setting up event materials, with a good level of fitness for the job.
- Reliable and Flexible: Dependable, punctual, and able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, with a positive attitude and the flexibility to work on various events across the UK.
- Basic DIY Skills and Tools Knowledge: Familiar with using basic DIY tools and equipment to assist with the assembly and installation of event structures and staging, ensuring efficient and high-quality execution on-site
- You must be able to reach our Bordon offices easily in order to attend briefings and access our fleet and vehicles.
- A full, clean driving licence.
