About the role
At MSL, we work with high-profile global brands to design, build, and deliver events that leave a lasting impression. We are looking for experienced Event HGV1 Drivers to join our team and be involved in transporting equipment to event locations nationwide.
As an
Event HGV 1 Driver, you'll not only be driving our fleet of vehicles to and from event sites, but also supporting the crew once on-site, assisting with unloading and setting up. You’ll enjoy the variety of working as part of a team and experiencing the fast-paced world of live events.
Accommodation and a daily subsistence allowance are provided when working away from home.
Key responsibilities
- Driving and Transporting Event Equipment:
Safely drive our HGV 1 vehicles to transport event equipment, crew, and materials to various locations across the UK, ensuring timely delivery and collection.
- Loading and Unloading Equipment:
Assist with the loading and unloading of event equipment, ensuring items are securely packed and unloaded at event sites in preparation for setup.
- On-Site Support:
Provide operational support on-site by assisting with event setups, ensuring equipment is correctly placed, and offering any additional help needed during the event build.
- Maintaining Vehicle Standards:
Perform routine checks and maintenance on the HGV 1 vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues to the relevant team for repair or servicing.
About you
- Experienced HGV1 Driver: Hold a valid HGV1 (Class 1) driving licence with a proven track record of safely operating large vehicles across the UK.
- Physically Fit and Practical: Able to handle the physical demands of the role, including loading and unloading equipment, with a practical and efficient approach to problem-solving on-site.
- Reliable and Responsible: A dependable individual with strong attention to detail, ensuring safe and timely transport of event materials and equipment to and from event locations.
- Team-Oriented and Client-Focused: A positive, professional attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with the crew and represent the brand to clients, providing excellent on-site support when needed.
- You must be able to reach our Bordon offices easily in order to attend briefings and access our fleet and vehicles.
